CIMA Workshop connects VSE Students with professional practice in management accounting.

On 14 May 2026, students at the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) took part in a CIMA guest lecture delivered in collaboration with CIMA. The session was hosted and organized by Tanweer Ali, M.A., PhD., lecturer at VŠE, as part of ongoing efforts to expose students to real-world perspectives in management accounting.

The highlight of the event was a dynamic and highly interactive session led by Jan Chládek, FCMA, CGMA, CFO at Coca-Cola HBC CZ & SK. Through an engaging and practical lecture, Jan brought management accounting to life - sharing real business examples, personal career insights, and demonstrating how finance supports decision-making at the highest level. The energy in the room and active participation from students made this session particularly impactful.

Building on this, Michał Wolny and Paweł Rozen from CIMA introduced students to the CGMA Professional Qualification. The session focused not only on the structure of the qualification, but also on how it supports long-term career development in finance, equipping future professionals with skills in strategy, performance management, and risk.

What stood out throughout the event was the strong curiosity and ambition of the students, as well as their openness to exploring international career pathways in finance. The session created a space for discussion, questions, and meaningful exchange between academia and practice.

We would like to thank Tanweer Ali for hosting and organizing the session, and for the continued collaboration in promoting management accounting among students at VŠE.
